Whidbey Island - Unbelievably Perfect

My dream place to settle has been a house with a view of the ocean, a beach nearby, calm water to do water-sports, near a city to be accessible. Far enough to be not too crowded.

On Thursday, I flew to Seattle to meet a friend Carol who stayed on Whidby Island. Driving to the place and passing Deception Pass I knew that this place was special. The island was beautiful. And the house breathtaking. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

We went kayaking.

And saw a seal.

And a bald eagle.

And finally a ferry ride back to Seattle.

This is where I'm coming back to settle, unless I find a perfecter place.

A very busy day ?

I managed to spend the whole of today, doing almost nothing. Actually the almost was to make it seem like I did do something. Actually it was nothing.

To make it seem okay, we can say I spent it procrastinating. Since I had planned lots of things to do. And in order to continue doing nothing, I looked up procrastinating. The ones that talked about how you can prevent it and gave all sorts of advice were in my opinion not very practical for professional procrastinators like me, and frankly too boring to watch.

Until I found 2 that I liked. Neither preached. One sang about it and the other gave a TED talk on it, while practicing it.

You can enjoy watching them. And claim to be learning about why others procrastinate.

Rio Olympics 2016

Much against expectations the opening ceremony was awesome and amazing. For those who missed out you can watch the highlights of the same on the NBC site at:

The Olympics is unique in that they have their own theme song. And then countries have their own. While many are inspirational, they are always enjoyable. Here are a few of the Rio 2016 theme music.

Shakira - Try Everything (Rio 2016 Summer Olympic Games Theme Song)

And while India may not get too many medals at the Olympics, as far as theme music is concerned we have several.
