Padma Awards - In honour of the unsung heroes

"Padma  Awards are one of the highest civilian awards of the country. They were instituted in the year 1954, and except for brief interruptions during the years 1978, 1979, and between 1993 and 1997, these awards have been announced every year on the Republic Day i.e., on 26th of January."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made a promise to honor unsung heroes. And in 2018 this promise has been kept. There are several unsung heroes, whose work is amazing and unbelievable. And yet, most if us hadn't heard about them or their work. Until now. Have a look at some of them.

They are all so amazing that I had to list them in alphabetical order.
